The Nature&More foundation has developed a system to provide background information on specific agricultural products on the Internet. The website is the result of a collaboration between leading organic products enterprises, like Alnatura (GER), Eosta (NL), and Ambootia (India). Products that are part of the Nature&More Trace and Tell System bear a 3-digit code, which when entered on the Nature&More website provides information on the manufacture and journey of the product. The so-called “sustainablity flower” highlights important social and ecological aspects of the production process. The information provided is either qualitative or quantitative (e.g. Carbon Footprint) and verified by independent institutions, like TÜV (German Technical Control Board).
The system is part of the Nature&More vision “to continuously increase transparency, mutual awareness and shared responsibility of all stakeholders in the food supply chain with regards to food quality, ecology and social justice.”
